Hi, my name is Joey Mancilla and these are the dogs that makes up ASAWOOD KENNELS!! We have been breeding Dobermanns since 1982, producing Best in Show, Best in Specialty Show, National winners, Champion, Grand Champions, and Hall of Fame Champion Dobermans. Our emphasis in our breeding program is consistency and excellence in quality thus we have strived to produce the best Dobermans in the country. Some of our famous Dobes has succeeded in the rings in different countries as well. Under our Asawood prefix, we have bred more than 168 Philippine Champions, 43 Philippine Grand Champions & 17 Philippine HALL OF FAME dogs. We are proud to say that we have been awarded TOP BREEDER OF THE YEAR IN THE PHILIPPINES four times already (1997, 2002, 2003, 2004). The Top Dog of the Year (both in PCCI & National standing) for 2007, is a dobermann we have bred, Philppine hall of fame Asawd's Award of Merit aka "Neo" who at 20 months of age bacame the youngest dog to have ever won such a prestigeous acknowledgement.
Lately, we have added some other breeds into our gang. We are now actively showing Whippets and Basenjis as well.

When I tought I have enough............... here comes another one

After having done 6 litters of basenjis the last few months, I told myself, thats it, I would not breed another basenji until next year or so I tought...... Well, when I least expected, my kennel boy told me that one of the basenji is pregnant. ... more

Dr Mendiola picked Neo for RUNNERS-UP BEST IN SHOW. BOS/RBOB/GROUP 3RD is my Malaysian breeding Phil Ch Winnerall Laura. Ho Jeng Long also chose Neo as his Best of Breed and also place 3rd in the Group.

BOB DAWSON PICKED BLOSSOM (Phil Gr Ch Sun Dog Dobe Blo v Asawood owned by Ricky Sun) as Best in Pincher Group. Best of Opposite Sex/Runners-Up Best of Breed/Group 4 was Bonjing (Phil Ch Asawood's Know Ur Limits, owned by Frank Lao). Lo Chi-Gwo went with Bonjing for the Breed and Group 2nd and Blossom took Runners-Up BOB/BOS/Grp 3rd.

Congratulations to all of the Asawood winners. Lets start with Star (Asawood's Heaven and Earth, owned by Nelson Uy) and Magic (Asawood's Got To Believe, owned by Vernie Pablo) who finish in the first ring under Robert Dawson with winners bitch and best of winners win respectively. Each took 5 points to finish.

I wish everybody goodluck on their show tomorrow and on sunday. I gota few dogs that I am trying to finish myself. I got "Magic" who is owned by Vernie who needs 4 more points to finishe so does "Star", owned by Nelson Uy who also need 4 points for her title. On our dogs, Raven already have 5 points, Mira got 9 points, Love Bug got 4 points so everybody would just try to get as much points as they can. Rolex, owned by Joey Aquino already have 22 points towards her Grand Championship. Bonjing of Frank Lao is half way his grand championship. Bubbles of Ricky Sun is near her HOF. Ashton of Lester Tiu is also on his way towards his HOF.

I wana congratulate Paulo Jon & his dog Star for winning 7 points thiss weekend. Star have a brother and a sister who are already champions. one other sister is 11 points while the other one got 5 points.
