After having done 6 litters of basenjis the last few months, I told myself, thats it, I would not breed another basenji until next year or so I tought...... Well, when I least expected, my kennel boy told me that one of the basenji is pregnant. I told him how can that be posible when almost all of the females (except PHIL HOF Jenny and her daughter PHIL HOF Girlie) just have their litters had I haven't seen any of the females comes into season or have we bred any one of them lately. The only suspect in my mind was Jenny because she have PHIL HOF Azedo with her along with PHIL CH Aiza, PHIL GRAND CH Diana, PHIL CH Solo, and PHIL CH Jeda. Girlie is sleeping with PHIL GRAND CH Bianco and Jazz have PHIL CH Mambo baside him. that is the sleeping quarter arrangement. I truelly know that Jenny have already passed her season. I am confident to mix her with a male and with the rest of the females who just had their litter because I know that she is thru her season. The last thing that I would want right now is another basenji litter because I have kept a number of puppies from my previous breedings that my hands are full right now. I have 4 red bitches from Bianca sired by PHIL HOF/AM CH Austin. One will go to Mico and another one is still available. One have already gone to Richard Joson. from Aiza ex Azedo, I kept the tri bitch and gave Katlyn, my sister-in-law's sister the red sister. I still got a very nice male that lots of people wants to buy but..... I still haven't decided what to do with him. He is the only male that I have intentions of keeping. In Jeda ex Jazz liter kept the two tris and my handler Boy got the red sister. Orig to Azedo, my co-owner Jongjong kept most of the puppies. With Solo ex Jazz, I kept the lone female. in Mambo ex Claridon I kept the 2 tris. and lastly, in Diana ex Jazz litter, I kept the 2 tris and still have a tri and a red male available. So you see, I have so many things going on with my basenjis. Then I am awaiting the arrival of American Champion Beep. Having a basenji litter is the last thing on my mind at this time but...... I always see the positive side of things. God gave me this as a blessing so I am not here to complain although I am not so lucky with my doberman breedings lately. Jenny to Azedo would be a very good breeding. 1st, they are not related. I need something outcross to bring into my very tight breeding stock and this will keep the loose ends together. 2nd, pheno type, they compliment each other. Jenny to me is the epitome of the most correct balance dog that I have seen in a basenji. Both got great sound movement so this area would be accentuate. I am now getting ready to rear this litter and is anticipating the puppies with excitement. I will post here some development in the future.
