for everyone
I have known Joey Aquino for quiet some time now.  I enjoy his company because, like me, he is very frank & honest.  We use to compete against each other.  He have a bitch he got from Meralco whom he named "Otso".  "Otso" is their most spoiled dog who have her fair share of winnings.  At the time "Otso" was being shown, we are also showing "Samantha" then later on "Marilyn".  We have always respected each one's dogs and would warmly congratulate each other when one of our dogs would win.  "Otso" wasn't really a producer thus.  she would sometimes have a few puppies but basically, none would be of her same quality.  When Joey retired "Otso", he told me that he wants a female puppy from me and if I have one, I have to inform him.  I know that Joey A is very "maselan" when it comes to owning a dog.  He wants a good one.  He have a distinct type on dogs that if he sees it in a particular dog, he would buy it.  The year 2006 was a crossroad in my breeding program. I am regularly getting puppies that are weak in toplines & are unsound in movement.  This is when I seek a very dear friend's help and advice.  He told me that he knows of a certain dog that is owned by a friend of his in New Zealand that is producing fabulous movement.  This particular dog is the sire of the number one top doberman in Australia as well as having been titled in Australia & New Zealand.  I got another friend, Architech Susan Policarpio Fabian to co-venture with me to import this particular dog which is now Australia/New Zealand/Philippine Champion Sharinway's Shado-Lan's Cowboy (Canada).  The day he arrived I have a bitch in heat, Philippine Champion Asawood's Black Beauty (Angel) & I think it was a lovely combination.  From this breeding, three females came out.  One female was given to Susan.  her name is Fantasy.  Another female went to Augusto Eastrada who became Philippine Champion Asawd's Fidelity Shadowpark.  I was supposedly to keep "Felicity".  One day, Joey A. visited my kennel to see my dogs (i was offering him another dog at that time).  He immediately feel in love with "Felicity".  He would always day after day ask me to let him have "Felicity.  Knowing that Joey A. would give a good home to "Felicity, I relented even if that was my puppy to keep.  "Felicity" became known as "Rolex", Philippine Champion Asawd's Felicity Shadowpark.  She went into an ugly stage on her adolesence period.  But Joey A. have faith on "Rolex".  He knows what he have is a winner.  He loves "Rolex" not because he wants a winner but because he loves her type & Joey A. adores "Rolex's" temperament. When Joey A. decided to show "Rolex", he had Solomon, his trusted personel to guide "Rolex's" show carrer.  Solomon, having been handling some of Joey A.'s minipin is not new to handling dogs but he still have to learn alot of thricks the seasoned handlers have.  Joey A. knows that with experience, Solomon would be the best alternative for "Rolex".  After finishing her championship, "Rolex" would mostly win runners-up best of breed but the break is no where in sight yet until........... this weekend's PCCI show we have Jennie Egan (Aust) & Dianne Tyssen (New Zealand).  Both judges saw the flawless movement of "Rolex".  They both appreciate the beauty of her neck that flows into her well laid in shoulder.  She have the best footing outthere with long reach & powerful drive.  She may not be perfect but she would always command attention.  "Rolex" took back to back best of breed.  Ms. Tyssen gave her 2nd best in pincher group.  Ms Egan put her up for Best in Group.  We were suppose to have went home after most of our dogs lost (hehehehe, we didn't have a good result this weekend).  But I know that I have to be there to support "Rolex".  I know, being her breeder, I have to be by her side rooting for her.  The first judge to do best in show is Ms Tyssen.  She gave best baby puppy in show to a cocker spaniel bred by my bestfrind Patrick Go & is owned by our dear friend, Tita Coty Otsuka.  Best in Show was Christopher Columbus, a cocker spaniel owned by Junko Murphy Runners-Up BIS was a pom owned by Basilio Yap.  Then it was time for Ms. Tyssen to judge best in show.  baby puppy in show went to a very spunky beagle.  Ms. Egan was very meticulous & tideous.  She went over them three times to make sure that her Best in Show is the dog she truelly feel deserving of the top award.  Finally it was clear to the expectator that it was down to the dobermann, the siberian and the pekengese but she just couldn't let her eyes off the dobermann.  she really loves her & awarded Best in Show to "Rolex".  Joey A., the only time that he is not watching dogshow (watching dogshow according to him is a stress reliever away from his busy work schedule) probably busy with his business, have his nephew there.  I am very happy for my friend Joey A. who really worked hard to get "Rolex" in top form & also Solomon who up to at the minute, didn't succumb to pressure.  Finally Joey A. have a best in show dog but im very happy that they have given "Rolex" a good home.  Runner-Up BIS was Poppy of Aris & Ruby.
